  • Kenya Land Survey Efforts Aided with Spectra Precision Equipment June 8, 2015

    Nairobi (June 8th, 2015) -- The Kenya Department of Surveys has acquired eight FOCUS 30 total stations and an additional eight EPOCH 50 GNSS receivers as part of an ongoing major effort to adjudicate land and prepare deeds. According to Lands Cabinet Secretary, Charity Ngilu, until recently 67 percent of Kenya had yet to be adjudicated even as the work was supposed to be completed within 20 years after it was commissioned in 1957 by the British colonial government. To rectify the problem the government of President Uhuru Kenyatta two years ago began a major new push to produce three million titles by 2017. Recently, it was announced by the Land Surveys Department that 800,000 title deeds had been prepared and are being distributed. Lire la suite

  • Turkish University Chooses Spectra Precision GNSS Receivers and Total Stations January 17, 2013

    Corum, Turkey – January, 2013 – The Hittite University School of Corum Department of Mapping and Cadaster has purchased two Spectra Precision EPOCH 50 GNSS receivers and eight Spectra Precision FOCUS 8 total stations for academic study and research. “The new Spectra Precision units were chosen for their economy and precision. They strengthen the education and research laboratories used by our more than 165 students,” according to Ibrahim Murat Ozulu, lecturer. “The new units will help ensure that our graduates are ready to carry out the fullest range of tasks demanded of technicians and assistant project managers in today’s construction projects in private enterprise and government.
